Bursa


BURSA

Province in Turkey-in-Asia, which is bounded in the north by the Sea of Marmara.   It is named after its capital, BRUSA or BRUSSA in Greek, anciently PRUSA, an inland city.  It fell to the Ottomans in 1326, the first major town to come into their possession.
