BOUCHES-DE-LA-MEUSE

Department in the French Empire 1810-13, joining southern Holland with the western part of the Lands of the Generality (now Noord Brabant).   Though the Maas is south of the Rhine, the department lay north of the Bouches-du-Rhin.
