Small sheriffdom in central Scotland – the town lies southwest of Perth, on the road to Stirling.   The sheriffdom was in existence in 1290, the year the Crown became vacant, but soon disappeared into the sheriffdom of Perth, certainly by 1328, the year of the death of Robert the Bruce.
