Åbenrå


ÅBENRÅ     Abenrade (Ger);  Aabenraa (Anglicised).

Former county in southern Denmark, once part of the Duchy of Slesvig (Schleswig).   It belonged to Germany, 1864-1920, and is  now part of the county of Sønderjylland, whose capital is the town of Åbenrå.
